a little on me
As a photographer-come-writer who returned to my roots and solo-travelled South Africa back in 2013, I have spent a solid 10 years in the content creation industry, most specifically in the travel niche – among others, including lifestyle, culture, home and business. Over the past decade, I’ve relished the flexibility of working remotely and excelled in various content-related domains such as photography, writing, editing, proofreading and, more recently, short-form video content creation.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with numerous charities and non-profit organisations, but in 2020 (two weeks before the global lockdown), I felt compelled to start my own initiative and co-founded Mzansi's Rugby Academy – a non-profit youth development programme in Port Alfred, Eastern Cape – with my rugby-mad partner.
‘African Rose’ carries a profound significance in my life, as it represents my dual heritage from South Africa and the UK. My deep-rooted appreciation for culture, diversity and heritage underscores my core values, emphasising the importance of knowledge and new experiences and in my eyes, ‘Adventures’.
Today, my greatest passion is collaborating with the best conscious travel brands and foundations in South Africa by storytelling the incredible work they do through my lens and words – as well as maintaining a roster of loyal, long-term clients. Keen to work together or collaborate? Come say howzit!
